Hi there! I'm the library director at Columbia Bible College.
If you come and visit me at the library, you'll notice a poster beside my degrees that says the following:
"Once upon a time, there was a girl who LOVED books. That was me. The End."
I've loved books and libraries since I was very little, and that love has continued until today.
I started off in libraries, working as a page (library lingo for student assistant), working in libraries and other organizations throughout my life, and have now come full circle as the new library director of a library of my own.
I love being surrounded by books and imagining I am hearing the conversations of the ages within the stacks. However, the best part is helping students to find resources for their essays and papers. It is very satisfying seeing the light that emerges in their eyes when they understand how the library works and how they can find things on their own.
It's the best job in the world.
